Q: Are knee scooters covered by my insurance?
A: Some insurance companies cover knee scooters. Medicare does not. We are out-of-network providers for insurance companies. Most insurance companies are closed and do not accept new providers at this time. We will become in-network if and when it is available to us. For now, we charge you and then you are free to submit this expense to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Q: What do I do if I get a flat tire?
A: Though we get better performance with the air-filled tires, we also have to deal with an occasional flat tire. We ship a spare tube with each knee scooter, so you can change this yourself or take the scooter and tube to your closest bike shop. The tube is a standard small 9” that many bike shops will carry. For instructions to change it yourself, please see our instructions page (live link here) or video here (live link here). (still need to make this video).
Q: Why wouldn’t I just use crutches?
A:Crutches are the long accepted standard mobility device to get the weight and pressure off a lower extremity. Crutches are difficult, however, and require significant agility, strength, and endurance. They are difficult to use if you have wrist, elbow, or shoulder problems.
Q: How do I adjust the JusGo scooter?
A:Please refer to our Assembly and Adjustment page for details, click here.
Q: What’s the speed limit on the JusGo scooter?
A:We strongly recommend using any knee scooter at a slow and controlled pace. Increased speed equals increased risk and damage if you fall. Please use caution while using any knee scooter. This is not a recreational device.
Q: What if I receive it and the knee scooter is not right for me?
A:We will do our best to assess a good fit for you before we help you place your order. While we do want everyone to love the JusGo scooter, we realize it might not be for everyone. We will not charge anything for use or rental if you send it back within 3 days of receiving it. However, we do charge a non-refundable $50 shipping/re-stocking fee.
